COMPANY OF WOLVES
PLOT
The three tribes have now been discovered and have split the land into three territories. To the North is the Amithyst Tribe, ruled by Serenity. To the West, Lakota, lead by Rie. And lastly to the South is where Ebony has claimed as the Shinook Tribe.
All is well for all of the clans and the land is flourishing with health. But will this luck run out? What danger lurks beneath the comfort?
For years Silver Lake has attracted tourists of all types. In recent years the tourism in the town has taken off and the most popular reason to travel to the small town seems to be the hunting. In the last two years the local hunters and biologists have noticed a horrific decrease in the number of wild animals. The other thing they have noticed is that the predators have been coming closer to town than ever before. The dump was thought to be the main reason, there was little prey so animals were desperate for food. The town put a fence around the dump, thinking this would deter the animals from coming into town. For a while the idea worked well, then a few months later dogs started going missing in the night. The local kennels reported seeing wolves take dogs. It was around this time that a musher was attacked and sent to the hospital after he and his team were attacked by a pack of wolves just outside town. Nothing like this had ever happened before and the town was shaken. Afraid for their safety people began shooting wild animals that were seen near town and bounties were put on the pelts of those animals. The local naturalists are still fighting to put a stop to the killing of these animals but they are fighting a losing battle.
The Innocence of Animals
When the number of hunters in Silver Lake increased the wolf packs were hit the hardest. Not only was prey scarce but it was harder to take down because the pack numbers were getting smaller. The starving wolves and other predators began feeding of the humans trash. That was until the fence went up, anyone who managed to get past it was shot. The wolves went back to the mountains but the hunting continued and the prey numbers continued to dwindle. The packs began to band together, putting differences aside to save their own existence. They began fighting back, ambushing hunters and mushers who pass through their territories. Some wolves have even resorted to sneaking into town at night and taking dogs as prey. What choice do they have?
Meanwhile the dogs in town fear for their own safety and that of their masters. They have organised and set up patrols around town to protect the humans and themselves. A war has broken out between the wild and the domestic canines. While the humans argue about how to deal with the wildlife problem their canine companions are fighting a war right under their noses.
souls: post apocalyptic werewolf roleplay since 01 « Result #8 on Jul 15, 2009, 9:06pm »
'Souls is play-by-post roleplaying game in a post-apocalyptic world. Humans have long since extinguished themselves with a military virus, but the wildlife persists, grows even. The Canis family in particular seems to have adapted very well and garnered the ability to change into a superior, bipedal form, the Luperci. Some embrace this newfound gift, but others loathe it with passion, preferring their older, traditional lifestyle.
Since 2001, 'Souls has provided an interesting and stimulating in character experience to roleplayers of all skill levels and ages. Our In Character environment provides an experience for both those wishing to roleplay normal wolves as well as those who wish to play a character beyond the average wolf. Our Out of Character environment is friendly and laid-back, with contests, games and other fun things for members to participate in. Discussions, debates, and questions are welcome and encouraged, and 'Souls is always looking to add new members to its ranks!
'Souls has been a consistent and favorable roleplaying environment for all roleplayers. The general game rating is PG-13. More mature threads are welcomed though, as long as they are clearly marked. The administration is experienced and fair. The general population of the game is more than willing to help out any newcomers to the experience.

Eiko looked at Darc, her eyes with a deep pathetic sigh, he brought it on himself, and how she enjoyed it. Now we just need the pinhead alpha to send them off to Thaqib, teach those pathetic excuse for dogs a lesson. Maybe even send him off to Anwar. this pack is about pain, we'll give them pain. Eiko's eyes scanned the area as he saw Twilight's limp body that has soon collapsed as she brought Darc's thick furred structure down, twitching ever so slightly. Her ears perked and looked over to her and stayed silent. You've lived this time, just don't get in my way Eiko took one more glanve over to Darc, her bright eyes dark in thoughts of the coming 'past' not the 'future'. Don't screw up she thought simply and bolted off as Twilight's body came back into it's world of strong senses, and the greeting of pain.
Darc's body gave an eerie twitched as it took on movement again today, stiffly attemtpting to lift himself off the ground, his body, not in pain, but in an entire shockof being half dead for so long. What happened, he didn't know much, but what he did know, was that ever since he'd blacked out, he'd felt this vast anger for thw wolven kind, and although he was in a pack he still felt the anger for other wolves like himself. Though,he also knew a logic that if he stayed with them, he'd get his fair share of blood, or they'd have to have a good long chat with the blood thirsty beta. He looked up at the sky, it's shade of blue shading from his very idea of it, losing it's serene feeling, and left with a dull shade of nothingness. He looked over to Twilight, he could kill her now, but something about her made him stand down, just like that pup..All those years ago. All I see know is red...

Twilight was pretty strong for a female. Stronger than most of feas actually. But her body was just like any other wolf. She had fur, muscles, strong paws and sharp teeth; she also had blood running throw her veins, of course. But this certain fluid right now was causing her troubles. The wound on her neck was deeper than she thought so and she was becoming dizzy due to the blood loss. She fought to stay up. She had to focus. In her state, she wouldn't be able to handle another strike like the one before.
"I don't take kindly to your kind, you plague this land, you think your the true owners of this land, but your not. Your mere specs of dust, left in the wind to get lost forever" Twilight growled, but grinned right after. Even though she was dizzy, she wasn't going to let him know that or it would definitely be her last fight. She stood up, fighting the pain in her back. - That sounds like something I would say; something like a Dark wolf would say, not a Lightie like you. You think you have the right to invade our lands and say things about ruling certain lands. Guess what?! We are the rulers here. And you know why? Because we're stronger. We are the specs of dust that sticked to the ground where the wind left us and fought for that same land. And I will defend this land, no matter what. Even if I had to give my life for it, even though I don't think it will be necessary... Twilight smirked deviously. She could barely see the wolf. Her sigh was blurred and spinning but she stayed in her spot. She wasn't really that talkative but she just felt like giving him an answer. She believed in every word she said, and she would truly do her best to protect this land but at this point, there was blood under her, blood that came from her wound in the back of her neck. She did hit him, but he still walked and jumped like nothing happened.
In a matter of seconds, the wolf disappeared from her eye sight. She took a defensive position but she could barely see a rock right in front of her. After that, all she saw was fur; the wolf gave her the sense he was going to attack her and then he backed away. Twilight barked, giving her a huge headache. At his next move, she tried to bite him again, but she was slower than usual thanks to the blood loss and he was a fast wolf. She had failed her target. She shook her head, regaining some of her sight and was finally able to see the wolf's siluete, which was way better than what she saw before. "Let me be the one to put your useless life to rest" The fea growled loudly, waiting for his attack. She was a fighter, but she was also realistic and she knew she wasn't going to be able to avoid his attack at the speed he was coming at her. She would have to make sure she wasn't going to get that injured. She could even try to bite back, like making a swift movement to the side and biting right after. But she realized that he was way faster than her.
But then, everything seemed to stop around her. The wolf disappeared from her vision to be replaced by a jet black wolf. And the next thing she noticed, or part of what she could see, was the enemy wolf being held by the unknown black wolf. Who was that new wolf? - Hey... Twilight wanted to know who it was, if it was a he or a she, she wanted to demand answers from this 'rescuer'. She didn't liked being saved or that others had pity of her. She hated it. But as she took a step toward the black wolf, everything turned as dark as night and she collapsed. Her body had given in to the pain and lack of blood. When Twilight opened her eyes, a couple of minutes after collapsing, she saw that, a few meters ahead of her, was Darc, the male Beta of the pack. But he seemed to be kind of asleep as well. Only then the fea realized that the wolf she had been fighting the entire time had been none less than Darc. Twilight tried her best to get up and after falling a few times, she made it. Leaning to a few threes and boulders, she made her way to Darc's side. The pain on her neck was horrible, but at least now she could see the surroundings. The male Beta had blood on him but she didn't knew how bad he was. He was still breathing; good thing. But she still didn't knew who was the dark wolf previously. As much as Twilight wanted to take him out of there, she didn't had the strength to drag him to the den. But she had strength enough to drag him under the three, to protect them both from the storm arriving. The fea howled strongly, giving the location of her position. Some help would be good. Rain drops started falling as Twilight did her best to push Darc under one of the threes. She knew he was strong, he was going to survive. She didn't know how bad he was, since she barely saw the other wolf. 'Better not wake him up right now...I think I'm going to get some sleep myself as well...' And in that very moment, Twilight fell asleep.
